Judge Wedoff: On Representing Respondents At Supreme Court In Chicago v. Fulton (An Interview)

On January 14, 2021, the U.S. Supreme Court issued its majority and concurring opinions in the City of Chicago v. Fulton case.  The opinions give a technical victory to the City on a narrow legal issue but suggest that the City may be in a difficult position on a variety of related grounds.  For a summary of the opinions, see this linked article.

Hon. Eugene R. Wedoff (Ret.), has been a champion of the Bankruptcy Code, from its beginning and to the present time.  Judge Wedoff served on the Bankruptcy Court in Chicago for three decades and has been providing leadership to the entire bankruptcy community throughout his career.

Recent years find Judge Wedoff active in bankruptcy cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.  Most recently, he argued on behalf of Respondents in the City of Chicago v. Fulton case.

What follows is an interview with Judge Wedoff about his practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, including the City of Chicago v. Fulton case.
